What do you need from me today?’ – 27th Jan 2025- Starts at 19:00 GMT

Ideas for supporting the development of coaches and leaders in an informal space.

This webinar is aimed at anyone, at any stage of development, with an interest in helping other coaches, instructors and leaders develop in an informal context. We know that ‘formal’ courses and training play a role in the development of expertise, but we also know that those informal ‘coaching conversations’ on the riverbank or a long car journey are also critically important.

In this interactive webinar, Chris (Chris Brain) and Ed (Ed Christian) will explore a range of topics including co-creating learning, providing autonomy and choice, meeting the needs of the learner, and strategies for listening. A central theme of the evening will be the idea of belief-led action, and the need to explore learners core beliefs and use these for the basis of their development. Whether you’re a seasoned club volunteer, planning your Coach Award assessment, a centre deployer or looking to move into a tutoring role, we hope this webinar will give you new ideas for facilitating those all-important ‘coaching conversations’.

So come along, ask questions, agree, disagree and challenge our thinking. All views are welcome – it will be very informal!
