What the Role Entails
As a Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning Provider you will help to support the development of sea kayak paddlers and, as a result, help them undertake journeys safer.
Being a CNTP Provider is demanding but also rewarding as you will be working with paddlers to give them the technical and theoretical aspects of navigation. This helps towards them becoming independent paddlers, coaches and leaders.
One of your main roles will be to support aspirant Sea Kayak Leaders on their journey. But this course is open to anyone who wishes to undertake a journey on the sea safely. To help you prepare for your role as a CNTP Provider, we recommend you read the Becoming a CNTP Provider Support document. As well as the course syllabus and documentation here.
Applications to become a CNTP Provider are accepted year-round, you can apply by booking on to an orientation course through our event booking system. The application form is part of the booking process.
What will you do as a CNTP Provider?

- Provide all course candidates with a clear development plan at the end of the course.
