Quality training from the world's largest paddling course provider

Meet the team! Aimee is the Delivery Centre and Partner Lead at Paddle UK and is the font of all knowledge about Paddles Up Training and the Delivery Partner Scheme and supports our Instructors, Coaches, Leaders and Providers.

  1. What do you love most about your role?

I love that every day is different, you get asked such varied questions in this role and so you never know what is going to come up. One day you could be advising someone setting up a hire company, the next you could be planning the standardisation for our coach award providers, from the current trends we have seen.

  1. What does a typical day look like for you?

I always begin my day by checking my emails and answering any that have come in over the evening. Then I open up the Delivery Partner Dashboard chat so that I can help advise anyone having difficulties there.  Then I could either be checking regulated courses to put them through to the Awarding Body for certification or processing courses for our bulk customers or attending meetings about the Delivery Centre or Delivery Partner.

  1. What are you most proud of in your career?

I am proud of the progress I have made within Paddles Up Training/Paddle UK. My role keeps developing as more responsibilities are given. Through this role, I have gained an understanding of quality assurance, have begun to think more strategically, have developed a deeper knowledge of paddlesports and developed my managing and leadership skills. I am excited to see where it goes next.

  1. Tell us something surprising about you.

I sing in a barbershop choir who are the current UK champions and I am going to compete in the United States with them in the autumn.

  1. Do you have any projects that you would like to tell us about?

As part of a wider project for the Delivery Centre, we are currently looking at how we manage our centrally run courses to help provide further support to the staff that run them and those attendees on them. This is a great step in making sure the courses run centrally are to the highest standards.
