Structured to support you, our experienced tutors will ensure you have plenty of time practising, as well as understanding how you can develop skills and experience after the course.

Stadium Safety & Rescue Training Course Outline
  • You will develop a raised awareness of the artificial, white water environment;
  • You will explore and practice different ways to provide a rescue from the bank;
  • The tutors will support you in practising personal rescue skills;
  • You will develop techniques to rescue swimmers from the water;
  • Our tutors will share with you top tips to recover both craft and paddles;
  • You will know how to prioritise and structure rescues.

There will be opportunities to develop and progress your rescue skills and meet like-minded people during the course. Many of our course candidates develop long lasting friendships, connections and contacts.

There is no need to register for this training course, by using the ‘find a course’ function you can book straight onto the 4-hour course.

However, to get the best from your programme you need to be a confident swimmer to put you in a position to fully engage and enjoy your course.

Content

This is a mainly practical training course with no assessment. Your course will support you in keeping others safe whilst they paddle on an artificial, white water course, providing you with the tools and concepts to consider solutions to common issues at artificial venues.

We have chosen to provide the British Canoeing Awarding Body Stadium Safety & Rescue Training course for two reasons:
