Provider Application Form

This application form will be considered along with other information that we hold about you including, but not limited to:

1. British Canoeing Awarding Body Qualifications
2. Quality assurance visits
3. Standardisation Visits
4. Learner Feedback (if you provide other Awards)

Please do not assume the recruitment panel knows you, providing detailed answers will provide better outcomes.

Please ensure you have read and understood the Provider Role pages especially the following sections:

• What the role entails
• Minimum Requirments
• Further Intructions

Ensure you are familiar with the role, qualification requirements and person specification. Applications that do not meet minimum qualification requirements will not be processed.

Roles such as Paddlesport Leader/ Touring Leader Provider and Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Tutor will require you to demonstrate competency across the full range of craft and environments involved.

We will process applications as they are submitted. It is essential that you discuss your application and seek the permission of your references before submission.

Feedback

Application outcome decisions will be sent via email (unless agreed otherwise). If successful your offer will be conditional, based on meeting the orientation requirements successfully and completing any agreed action plan within an agreed timescale.

Successful or not applicants will be given the opportunity to discuss their application, explore possible actions to strengthen future applications or discuss suitable alternatives.

Conditions Attached to the Role

Any offer of a Provider role is reliant on you meeting the criteria in your invitation and you maintaining Paddle UK Membership.

If, in the future, you move National Association Membership to CANI, SCA, CW, the role will not automatically transfer and will need to be reviewed with the new National Association Coaching Manager.

This will include a workforce needs assessment and may include reviewing your application on the most up to date provider requirements at the time.

The role is only valid for the duration of the qualification, if a qualification is reviewed or withdrawn your provider role may also be withdrawn and may not be automatically transferred to any replacement qualification you can read more in our recruitment and selection guidelines.

Privacy

Paddles Up Training takes your privacy seriously and will only collect necessary personal data to administer your application to become a provider.

To protect your data, we will:

1. make sure it’s treated consistently with our privacy policy
2. not allow other companies to use it to contact you with their own marketing unless you’ve given your consent.

Your data will be shared with the British Canoeing Awarding Body for auditing purposes, it will not be shared with any other third-party organisations.

Paddles Up Training will hold your data on file for a period of three years to send you information about other relevant tutor opportunities and to meet British Canoeing Awarding Body requirements unless you tell us otherwise by emailing [email protected].

Please note applications close 26th April 2024 at 12 noon (BST), applications sent after this time will not be considered. Application outcomes will be communicated after 13th May 2024, you will hear from us no later than 20th May 2024. Please do not contact us before the 20th May.
