This service is for new individual English or non-UK members only. If you are a lapsed or renewing member of British Canoeing, or if you require a couples or family membership, then please use the British Canoeing membership portal here.

The membership you will purchase is On The Water membership. It includes a waterways licence for England and Wales and public liability insurance, among other benefits. You will be asked your date of birth and allocated the correct membership type for your age. Prices are:

Individual Adult (Over 23) - £47
Young Person (18-22) - £37
Youth (Under 18) - £29

I only coach adults. Do I need a Safeguarding certificate?

Yes, you are required to take a Safeguarding course. But if you do not work with vulnerable adults or children, then this can be an eLearning course such as the British Canoeing Introduction to Safeguarding.

Also, if you work with vulnerable adults and/or children and have completed a face-to-face course more than three years ago and now have to update, this can also be done online.
