Becoming a Personal Performance Award Provider

By becoming a Paddle Award Provider, you will work with new and novice paddlers who want to develop their independence, paddling and safety skills when taking to the water. The aim is for paddlers to gain knowledge and raise their awareness of paddling safely in a sheltered water environment in, or on, the craft that they paddle.

All of our Personal Performance Awards are paddler-focused.

The awards are paddler focused, they can complete them at their own pace, supporting them to become independent paddlers, look after our green & blue spaces whilst keeping them safe, and comfortable.

They are a great way of letting them know how their progressing and celebrating their success. It can be really useful for them helping them to be clear ‘what’s next’ for them.

They are focused on learning, the ethos of ‘supporting the paddler’ runs through the core of each one, encouraging individuals to consider where they paddle, the equipment they use, as well as providing practical solutions if they get into difficulty.

There is no requirement for a formal assessment, you can track their progress as they learn and enjoy their paddlesport.
