Welcome to British Canoeing RapidJoin. The quick way to gain British Canoeing membership so you can kick off your career in paddling.

This service is for new individual English or non-UK members only. If you are a lapsed or renewing member of British Canoeing, or if you require a couples or family membership, then please use the British Canoeing membership portal here.

If you live in Northern Ireland please join through the CANI website here. If you live in Scotland join using the SCA website here. Finally, if you live in Wales please join using the Canoe Wales website here.

The membership you will purchase is On The Water membership. It includes a waterways licence for England and Wales and public liability insurance, among other benefits. You will be asked your date of birth and allocated the correct membership type for your age. Prices are:

Individual Adult (Over 23) - £47
Young Person (18-22) - £37
Youth (Under 18) - £29

How do I register for a course?

Registration is done through the membership portal of whichever National Association you are a member. For further information please see our Registration Guidance page.

Please note that Registration is a separate procedure for the Coach Award Assessment Check in. If you are about to attend a Coach Award Assessment then you will also need to complete a free-of-charge check in form on your membership portal that checks all of your prerequisites. It is also your confirmation to your provider that you have everything in place to go to assessment.
